Great news from our Kroger community cat colony! Thanks to our amazing volunteers Kerry, Christie, Cindy, and Dawn, we’ve successfully spayed/neutered 9 out of 10 cats!
You can identify the fixed cats by their tipped left ear.
Winter Prep Complete! We’ve placed several insulated styrofoam shelters along the Kroger fenceline, stuffed with straw for warmth. Additional shelters and a feeding station are also set up on the Cord Brothers side! The cats can move freely between both properties through breaks in the fence.
They’re not fancy, but they’re survivalist-approved and will help these kitties make it through winter!
NEW: Feeding Stations Installed! There are 2 covered feeding stations now in place!
They will protect food from rain and snow while giving the cats a cozy spot to eat.ย ONLY PLACE FOOD AND WATER INSIDE THE FEEDING STATION.
How YOU Can Help!
Continue feeding – your compassion is incredible!
IMPORTANT: Remove canned food from cans before serving – sharp edges can cut tongues!
Pro tip: Use tortillas as biodegradable “plates” for wet food! Keep a pack in your car – they last forever!
Please use the feeding stations – it keeps the area tidy and helps us maintain our great relationship with Kroger and Cord Brothers management
Pick up after feeding – let’s keep the parking lots clean!
Spot a new cat without an ear tip? Alert us! Text 317-364-4227 with a good picture of the cat!ย
THANK YOU to everyone showing compassion for these community cats! Together, we’re making a real difference in their lives. Kroger and Cord Brothers management have been incredibly gracious, and with your help, we can ensure these cats have the best life possible!
