Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinics for Community Cats

Low‐Cost Spay Neuter Clinic ‐ Brownsburg: lowcostspayneuterindiana.org * 409 N. Green St., Brownsburg, IN 46112 * (317)852‐0537* This clinic picks up every 2-4 weeks at the Rural King in Shelbyville. ****The Low Cost Spay Neuter Clinic has an open-door policy on ferals where you can catch up to 2 community cats and bring them without an appointment on the designated transport dates. This open door policy is NOT for owned cats. It is strictly for community, free-roaming, unowned, and/or feral cats. Ear tips are required for ALL community cats. Cats can be in a carrier if friendly or a trap if unsocialized/skittish/feral. Pricing ranges from $60-$70/cat, with additional optional fees. Ask at check in so there are no surprises! (Present your certified trapper card and Animal Outreach will pay for the community cat package.) Their transport schedule is published on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/LowCostSpayNeuterClinicLCSNC navigate to photos, and find the photo of the schedule corresponding with the month you want to take cats. You can go to any transport pick up so chose one that is convenient for you.
Greensburg/Decatur County Animal Shelter: 812-663-9081, 1635 W Park St, Greensburg, In 47240. Book up to 3 community catsfor a clinic. You must visit the shelter in person to complete paperwork and register. As of October 2025, they have a grant to cover the cost so double check with them when you register that they still have funding available. They are open Tuesday-Friday 12n-4pm and Saturdays 11a-2pm, but be sure to check online to make sure their hours haven’t changed.
Public Vet travels the state and offers mobile spay/neuter services. Book online www.pub.vet YOU MUST SPECIFICALLY REQUEST AN EARTIP as this is not a standard procedure for the community cat package. They have financial assistance so be sure to apply!

You must call to schedule as their online appointment system isn’t for community cats. Ask about any financial assistance you may qualify for.
IndyHumane Downtown Clinic: indyhumane.org * 456 N. Holmes Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46222 * (317) 602‐3423 * Low‐cost spaying and neutering for dogs and cats. Special programs for community cats. $60 per cat and includes rabies vaccination and eartip.

Spay‐Neuter Services of Indiana (SNSI): GetThemFixed.org * 1100 W. 42nd Street, Suite 205, Indianapolis, IN 46208 (317)767‐7771 *Income-qualified pet owners pay $25 per surgery, utilizing vets in Pet Friendly Services’ statewide network. SNAP certificate applications open Mondays at 9:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. There is a limit of 3 SNAP certificates per client. The SNAP certificates go fast, so keep trying!
So how in the world do I catch cats I can’t catch?
With humane live traps of course! We can loan certified trappers traps for a 1 week period. This should be plenty of time to get you small trapping project completed! And Alley Cat Allies has a wonderful primer on trapping: How to trap a cat for Trap-Neuter-Return and we have a printable download that walks you through the process step by step. However, if you are a certified trapper, you would have learned this in your class. You can revisit the training for 365 days after registering, so you can always rewatch it.
