April 27, 2024 Spay Day

Check in will begin at 9am and conclude by 10amat the Animal Medical Hospital, 1025 N Neil Solgere Way, Greensburg, IN 47240.

Remember: 1 cat/kitten per carrier or trap. We will not have extra carriers on hand. Please come prepared.

*****If a stranger cannot safely and easily handle the cat, the cat must be in a trap. NO EXCEPTIONS. If the cat is in a carrier and cannot be safely handled, we will refuse services and none of us want to do that. But the safety of our volunteers takes precedent.

Preparing for Drop-off:

  • Safety Notice: Given the expected storm on Saturday, your safety is our priority.
  • Parking Instructions: Upon arrival, please park in any regular parking spot instead of driving up to the entrance.
  • Keeping Cats Safe: Keep your cats comfortably in the car while you come inside.
  • Paperwork Collection: Sign in and collect the necessary paperwork for each cat, along with trap stickers. Please bring your reading glasses if needed. We’ll provide clipboards for easy filling out in the car.

Drop-off Process:

  • Paperwork Completion: Once you have the paperwork, return to your car to fill it out.
  • Notification: When it’s time to bring your cats inside for their surgery, we’ll give you a call.
  • Bringing Cats Inside: Drive your vehicle up to the entrance and bring your cats inside.

Additional Information:

  • Volunteer Availability: Due to limited volunteer availability, you may need to make multiple trips inside. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
  • New Surgery Flow Techniques: We’re trying out new surgery flow techniques, such as “first in, first out,” meaning surgeries will be completed by caretaker instead of by gender. This should help with discharge, making pick-up less chaotic and more spaced out.
We have several volunteer slots still open — no experience required. If you would like to volunteer, check out the signup form and see how yo help!
