Animal Outreach is an all-volunteer driven, grassroots cat rescue organization. We receive no government support or SCUFFY distributions. We rely solely on the generous donations of cat lovers just like you!
Since Animal Outreach was founded in the winter of 2007, the progress we’ve made improving the lives of feral and stray cats in Shelby County has been inspiring! Our work started in one backyard with one colony of cats, then one neighborhood, then the whole county. Our expertise comes from firsthand experience – we’ve trapped the cats, fed them everyday for years, and provided shelter on cold winter days. We know Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) works because we do it!
General donations are not restricted in how we use them. The donations collected go towards paying for spaying and neutering cats, veterinary expenses for sick cats that need to be treated before returning them to their feral colonies or for adoptable cats in foster care, and for producing education materials to benefit the public.
